Children's Ministry

Cincinnati Church of the Brethren is a young congregation with a dynamic and growing children’s ministry.  On Sunday mornings children and youth of all ages are welcome to a cereal breakfast held at 10:30 a.m. Following breakfast, everyone begins the church service at 11:00 where children are invited to join in singing and listening to a children’s story before adjourning for more interactive programming.  During the remainder of the morning, children and youth are engaged in lessons and games typically centered around community building, peace and social justice issues, and New Testament theology.

Beyond Sunday mornings, the Church invites children and youth of all ages to a variety of special activities that include  a trip to a corn maze in the fall, creating a Christmas program in December, ice skating on Fountain Square, Reds games, trips to the Museum Center, and many other social and service outings. The congregation also hosts a neighborhood Halloween Block Party and a Community Easter Egg Hunt in the park at St. James and Nassau, adjacent to the church.
