Welcome to Cincinnati Church of the Brethren!

Cincinnati Church of the Brethren is located in the Walnut Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati. In 2008, we moved from a comfortable suburban location to our current urban location, seeking the peace of the city. We work to engage with the city and its people, embracing and celebrating the diversity that fills our world. Our engagement sparks conversations about disparate income and educational opportunities, violence, race relations, and gentrification. As we face these tough issues, we strive to follow Christ’s example and look to God’s wisdom for answers. On this journey, we are guided by the belief that Jesus was serious about living a life of love, service, peace, justice, and simplicity. We also believe that the church and God’s love is for all people, and welcome all to worship with us.

We seek connections--connections with others and connections with God.  On Sunday mornings, we come together for worship and fellowship. Children are an important part of our community—from Kids Club to monthly intergenerational field trips. We also sponsor a community volunteer house, where volunteers come to Walnut Hills from all over the country to serve others full-time. We’re not a huge group, but we have an authentic community of people who care about one another and our neighbors good. We invite you to join us at one of our many community events (like our Community Easter Egg Hunt) or for worship on Sunday Mornings.
